Moritz Körner, born 1990, is a member of the FDP’s executive committee and a member of the regional executive commitee of the FDP North Rhine-Westphalia. Since May 2019 he is a member of the European Parliament where he sits on the committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs and the committee on Budgets. He is negotiator of the Renew Europe Group for the Multiannual Financial Framework and for E-Evidence. Furthermore Moritz Körner is a member of the delegation for the relations with the People’s Republic of China and a substitute in the delegation for the relations with India.
He was the top candidate of the FDP NRW for the European elections in 2019. Prior he was a member of the NRW state parliament and spokesperson of the parliamentary investigatory committee on the case Amri, the Berlin Christmas market terror attack. From 2013 to 2018, Körner was chairman of Young Liberals North Rhine-Westphalia.
